Post-Chart Analysis from Dave in the Stats Bunker:
Franz Ferdinand are creeping up place by place, week by week, and now have Aztec Camera in their sights. Elsewhere, Edwyn solo finally catches up with and passes Edwyn with Orange Juice. Good progress from The Proclaimers and The Waterboys but the real stars are the Cocteau Twin-heavy edition of This Mortal Coil, who have moved up 24 big Jock ‘n’ Roll places to number 22. good weeks also for Camera Obscura and Deacon Blue.
Interesting new entries as another Big Country single from the same album as the other two comes in as does the debut Primal Scream 45 and Alex Harvey makes a sensational comeback at last with Delilah. My, my. Oh, and the Wets are at an all-time high.
A lot of Aberfeldy votes in this week but that’s okay, I don’t reckon there’s a conspiracy. A conspiracy would’ve been organised enough to vote for the same song, wouldn’t it? Definitely not a conspiracy then!
Oh and The Cat’s been walking around Jock ‘n’ Roll HQ purring as someone else has finally voted for The Close Lobsters. Unfortunately, it’s for a different single.
Keep the votes coming in folks. This is the most exciting game in town. Shite; that was lacrosse!

Dave
Want some more work? I've a few suggestions.
How about doing that thing they have on the Charts page in Q Magazine.....the one that says how many weeks in total the songs have been on the charts??
And could you expand it to a Top 100 or 200 or whatever it takes to get more Friends Again singles included???
Oh and one final question. I've already voted....but having listened to hundreds of songs on the i-pod while on holiday, I want to vote again. How about asking old voters to add numbers 11-20 and new voters to go for a Top 20????
Go on......you know you want to. Think of all those extra stats!!!! |
