I find it hard to believe that The Cat missed Kendo Nagasaki and Big Daddy off the Top Ten Old School Wrestlers. Surely a shoe-in for being masked (and the controversy which every week surrounded attempts to un-mask him) and because Big Daddy's real name was Shirley (although I wouldn't slag him for it!).
Takes me back to Saturday tea at my granny's, mince and tatties and the hysterical Kent Walton. |

To be honest, they just seemed too obvious. Easy, easy, easy... _________________ www.jocknroll.co.uk - The Great Jock 'n' Roll Album - Have You Voted? |

Kent Walton! 'afternoon grapple fans'. Funnily enough my granny and grandad came to ours on a Saturday though in my memory it was always summer and we were always having boiled ham, crinkle cut chips and salad cream with a salad that no one touched. This Proustian nostalgic moment was caused by mention of Kendo Nagasaki.
Saw Big Daddy live too in Scarborough and both 1 and 6 on Cat's list were on the bill. Wish i could remember the name of the tag team that were billed as brothers even though they had different surnames. TC if anyone knows you will |

Dave,
You are thinking of The Royal Brothers, who were Bert Royal and Vic Faulkner!! This confused me too as a child. I just didn't understand how they could be brothers with the same surname!!!! _________________ www.jocknroll.co.uk - The Great Jock 'n' Roll Album - Have You Voted? |
