Post-Chart Analysis from Dave in the Stats Bunker:

A record week for votes here at Jock n Roll HQ and some big movers to go with them. The Top 20 remains reasonably stable with a lot of exchanging places though it now looks like the Skids are poised to topple our long standing number 1. Party Fears Two holds it off for another week but for how much longer?

Good week for Gerry Rafferty: St Mirren got a draw and both his featured singles are the big climbers within our Top 20. The Goodbye Mr Mackenzie and Belle & Sebastian votes are hardening up behind certain singles and the two James Grant related singles make good moves as does Strawberry Switchblade. Biggest mover of the week however goes to Stephen Lindsay’s neglected Big Dish classic “Miss America”, which has made a great recovery at 43.

Long overdue debuts for Josef K, Beta Band and River Detectives and the Wets are on the up again. Marti and the boys were up in the Top 25 on the secret industry-only midweek stats but were overtaken in the latter stages.

We may have had a busy one in the Bunker but we want even more votes so tell everyone you know to vote.

Are you still getting those poems from wee June?

Dave, Ra Banker in ra Bunker

(Dave, 10 December 2006) NEW CHART: SUNDAY 17 DEC 2006

It's one of the Sky Movie channels tonight (Monday 11th December) at 11pm. Still makes me giggle after endless viewings so many years on.

Well every chart so far has come with a quote from GG. Funniest film ever made IMHO though Spinal Tap runs it close if you've ever been in a band. When I'm down in London seeing TC and I's good friend Alan there is a certain point when suitably refreshed when we just start firing lines at each other from the film

Is it a peculiarly Scottish thing? Any Gregory's Girl fans outwith Scotland?

Off you go, you small boys! Laughing Laughing Laughing

And it took me all this time to pick up on it. I was too busy reading the charts themselves to notice!!

Still waiting on you using my favourite line tho'.
