We're thrilled to announce this year's Triptych line-up, which promises to delight and enlighten with a programme whose divergent musical luminaries share one common, critical attribute: timelessness.

Triptych 07 hence welcomes some of modern music's most remarkable artists, many of whom make their live Scottish debuts at this year's knees-up: minimalist kingpin Terry Riley; smouldering arch-chanteuse Ute Lemper; hip-hop grandmasters DJ Premier and Marley Marl; off-kilter choralist Cat Power; jazz anarchist Evan Parker; reggae firebrands Sister Nancy and Sister Carol; jazz-funk supergroup The Funkmasters (featuring Fred Wesley, Bernie Worrell, Clyde Stubblefield and John 'Jabo' Starks); post-punk insurgents Einsturzende Neubauten; punk-funk dissident James Chance; orphic pop warlock Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals); and many more.

Some of the world's most arresting emerging artists are also set to ignite Triptych 07: not least Brazilian techno-pop misfits CSS (Cansei de ser Sexy); soul voyagers Nostalgia 77; dubstep overlords Digital Mystikz; swamp-rawk philanderers Black Lips; and psych-folk necromancers Espers.

Tennent's Lager's allegiance to grassroots talent is also set to further amplify: indie dignitaries The Pastels will premiere their long-awaited new material at three very rare live shows; while the Ballads of the Book fiesta sees the cream of Scotland's literary and aural talent converge for a one-off wig-out: Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub), King Creosote, Idlewild and Sons & Daughters among them.

2007 also heralds the unveiling of the Triptych Coat of Arms: it's created by Scotland's best-loved writer, artist and renaissance man, Alasdair Gray, whose resplendent, incandescent drawings embellish the brochure and this year's campaign - along with his original illustrations of select Triptych 07 artists, including Cat Power, Ute Lemper and Terry Riley.

This year's Triptych film programme, meanwhile, boasts a bevy of must-see celluloid endeavours - including Johnny Cash: Live at San Quentin; Nick Drake tributes A Place To Be and A Skin Too Few; Arthur Lee homage Love Story; hip-hop hoopla Beat Kings and American independent classic Down By Law.

As ever, Tennent's Lager is also offering three intrepid film teams the chance to create and screen an exclusive Triptych documentary: see website for details.

Finally: Triptych's online innovation is thriving. The new! improved! website is now awash with exclusive content, upfront news, artist interviews, guest top 10s, ticket offers, listings, a live archive and free audio streams of all Triptych and related artists.

All tickets are on-sale now!

xx
