DF Concerts and founding partners Tennent’s Lager are delighted to announce the launch of the 8th annual T on the Fringe – and reveal the first big names on our stunning line-up.

We can today confirm two phenomenal shows taking place at Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh, this August.

On Tuesday 21st August American rock legends Foo Fighters will take to the stage at Meadowbank, playing all the hits including tracks from their two Grammy Award winning albums There is Nothing Left to Lose and One by One.

And on Friday 24th August former album chart toppers Kaiser Chiefs will take over the podium with their high octane set of sing-along favourites.

This year even more fans will be able to enjoy the T on the Fringe experience, with the capacity of the stadium having been increased to 25,000 for each gig.

Since it first rocked the capital in 2000, T on the Fringe has played host to some of the world’s most popular bands and artists as well as the best new and alternative talent. 2006 saw more than 50 gigs take place across six venues, including outdoor shows from the mighty Muse and indie darlings Snow Patrol.

Today’s announcement is just a glimpse of what’s to come in 2007, with support acts for these gigs and many more fantastic additions to the line-up to be announced over the coming months.

Tickets for both gigs go on sale at 9.30am on Wednesday 21st March and are priced at £37.50 for Foo Fighters and £28.50 for Kaiser Chiefs.
