Is it just me or is this a bunch of jumped up karaoke singers who are suckered into believing that they'll be stars before disappearing into the ether and then return in brown uniforms to say "for thirty pence you can go large".

Every time someone at work mentions these types of programmes I walk out the room. They know not what they do.

It is not just you.

But I'm ashamed to say that Mrs Villain is hooked on them. Still, gives me time to surf t'net on a Saturday evening without feeling guilty.

It's with great relief that it's all over again for another year. I don't suppose ITV schedulers will decide to replace it with a few South Bank Show "rockumentaries"?!
I seem to recall Lou Reed telling Sir Melvin he "wasn't interested in high school reunions," a couple of years before the Velvet Underground toured the world and I saw them at the Edinburgh Playhouse.
Wasn't there also a sortie north of the border to speak to the Jesus and Mary Chain?

Don't know about J&MC, but there was a good effort on The Smiths just after the band broke up and 'Strangeways' came out. Got it on VHS somewhere.

Sad to say, but X Factor is going to be with us for many more years to come.
