The latest Trashcan Sinatras Newsletter:
"Hi everyone - it has been a while, so here is a quick update:
1. The band has a new song called "Half An Apple" on the "Ballads of the Book" album, pairing contemporary scottish poets with musicians. The album is released on March 5 in the uk and April 3 in the usa. Chemikal Underground has a minisite for the album and you can listen to the Trashcans' song there.
2. There is a free record release concert at the CCA in Glasgow this Friday, March 9. The Trashcans will play a 30 minute acoustic set. (The Cat - "It was excellent!")
3. There is another Ballads of the Book concert on April 29 as part of the Triptych festival in Glasgow. The Trashcans will be performing there.
4. Universal is re-releasing the Trashcans back catalog (Cake, I've Seen Everything and A Happy Pocket) later this year (around the summer). The albums will include b-sides, but no new tracks. Right now they're planned for release worldwide except for North America, which doesn't make any sense...but they're trying to lift the territory restriction.
5. The band has around a dozen songs they're working on for their next album. They'd like to get into the studio this spring and have an album out by the end of the year. We'll see how it goes...
6. If you haven't visited youtube, I've posted around 20 Trashcan videos there (official and promo videos and live performances). There are a lot of other videos people have posted. There are also some new mp3s on the official website as well.
7. The band's official website is being updated with a new look and features and will be relaunched later this year. So don't be in shock if it's completely different when you visit one day! As always, more information and details (and more often more timely updates) are posted to trashcansinatras.com, the message board and the band's myspace site.
Let me know if you have any questions." _________________ www.jocknroll.co.uk - The Great Jock 'n' Roll Album - Have You Voted? |
